Yesterday completely got away from me as I worked on setting up the Instagram shop so I never ended up posting the blog post!
I am absolutely thrilled to say that we passed 50 orders the other night! For a small business that just opened in mid-October, this is a great accomplishment and it’s all because of YOU! With repeat customers, monthly subscribers, and individuals purchasing merchandise, the bookstore keeps gaining traction and I’m so grateful to everyone! With 50 orders under our belt, I wanted to highlight the most popular products below:
#1 Monthly Blind Date with a Book Subscription
This is our most popular sale! Readers are loving getting a new book in the mail each month that is specifically chosen based on the preferences they fill out during checkout. We offer fantasy, romance, or contemporary fiction as an option, but if you’d like to switch it up you can always email us at hello@thereadingchamber.com and request a different genre!
For individuals who want just one blind date or want to gift it to someone else, this is the perfect selection. Similar to the monthly subscription, readers will fill out some of their favorite titles and we’ll pick out a book from our library that fits the genre they chose. Blind dates also come with some extra goodies like stickers and bookmarks.
#3 I Brake for Libraries Sticker
This sticker was one of our most popular items to purchase and we can certainly see why. It’s an absolutely adorable sticker that can be used on Kindles, water bottles, laptops, and more! We are currently SOLD OUT of this sticker, but you can get on the email list to find out if/when it’s back in stock.
#4 Monthly Themed Book Box Subscription—6 Months
Book boxes are so much fun to put together and come with so many great book merchandise! By purchasing a six-month subscription, readers get a book box each month themed to that specific month. Our next book box is March and it will be featuring St. Patrick’s Day and spring! The boxes come with an independently published book that hasn’t been released in the store yet, stickers, bookmarks, and other fun merch like notepads, pencils, earrings, or maybe even a candle! All boxes are customized to a reader’s preference that they fill out during checkout. I am so happy to see this on here as one of our top five most popular sales! I created The Ultimate Book Log back in 2021 when I wanted a reading journal that didn’t just have space to write reviews. I love keeping track of characters and different statistics so I made this journal to capture everything I wanted to know about the books I was reading. It’s wonderful to see that readers love that aspect too!
