The Kissing Booth
By Beth Reekles
Meet Rochelle Evans. Known as Elle to most everyone. She’s pretty, she’s popular, and she’s never been kissed.
Meet Noah Flynn. Known as Flynn to most everyone. He’s gorgeous, he’s badass, and he’s a total player.
When Elle and her best friend, Lee, decide to run a kissing booth at their school’s Spring Carnival, Elle ends up locking lips with Noah, and her life is turned upside down. But this romance seems far from a fairy tale. Is Elle headed for heartbreak, or will she get her happily-ever-after?
Jess Says:
Don’t let the Netflix movie fool you. This story has so much depth exploring grief, friendship, and first love. While the Netflix movie gets a fair amount of things right (and is fun of course), the book is so much better at detailing and understanding Elle and Noah’s relationship. It’s flirty, witty, and very charming. Fun fact, the book was originally written as a standalone with a short story released a year later. The additional two books were written to compliment the movies a decade later!
